Zoning Bylaw Renewal

Our Goals:

• Bylaw that includes permissive and flexible standard zones that enable a wide range of development, reducing the need for rezoning and/or Direct Controls or special area zoning.

• Automation and/or same-day processing for simple development and building permit applications that meet the regulation requirements and conform to planning policies for the area.

• Proactive upzoning of lands in alignment with the City Plan land use concept to enable as-of-right development opportunities.
