Why this matters:
The City Plan articulates a goal to welcome an additional one million more people to Edmonton, with 50% of that growth concentrated in core and mature neighbourhoods and around nodes and corridors. To help realize this vision, barriers to redevelopment should be addressed and aim to support speed-to-market.
Our desired outcome:
- Best practice research on replicable models from suburbs to infill context
- Work with EPCOR and Fire Rescue Services on standards and power requirements
- Downtown development incentives are explored
- Downtown Pedestrianization Strategy is developed
